If you haven't heard, one of our former owners has moved into a new small business at the Bangor Mall! Maine Micro Artisans is a gift shop with thousands of Maine Artisan made treasures! There is something for everyone in a gorgeous space just outside of the Furniture store! and get some goodies for yourself and perhaps a head start on the holidays!

We miss ya Bangor, but we're still kicking around!

Today we noticed some new logos on our old windows at 20 State St! We would like to take a moment to extend a hearty welcome to Wildflour Cake Design, Inc. To the Downtown Bangor community! We wish you all the best and can't wait to stop in and snag some delicious looking treats! Today is Small Business Saturday. This year, more than most years it is so important to shop local for the holidays and help our local small businesses survive these incredibly difficult times. Please, if you are able to, shop small and shop local.

We met an unfortunate fate this year, and we would be so heartbroken to see more downtown businesses have to close. If you do go out shopping, please mask up, maintain distance and let's make it a safe experience for everyone! If you're not able to go out, many of our awesome local businesses have online shops, and curbside pickup!

Walmart and Amazon will survive this, our friends and community members with small businesses may not, and you can help!

We've had a lot of folx ask us where they can get their hands on the amazing Hot Chocolate Bombs we had last winter! I have EXCELLENT news for ya! Splendiferous Sweet Shoppe in Searsport was our supplier and they will be taking pre-orders orders for their delicious bombs (and other yummy treats!) And will be having BANGOR pickups so you can get your hands on them AND support an incredible small business in these difficult times! See their post here for info!

Attention Hot Chocolate Fans in the Bangor area! If you are missing your Hot Chocolate Bombs from Tea & Tarts we were their supplier last year and we are selling 12 Flavors of Bombs in our shop 21 E Main Searsport. To make it easier we are taking online orders and will be doing deliveries Sat night's from 6:30 - 7:00 and Sunday mornings from 8:30 -9:00 in the parking lot near where Old Navy is located. To avoid paying shipping, please check out with the "In store pick up" option. Then DM us your name, bangor pick up and what day you prefer.

Holy COW y'all! You sold us entirely out of our bulk teas in 45 minutes! 😱😱😱😱 That was a LOT of tea!

Today is the day for our tea sale! From 12 to 4 we'll be open and selling off everything we have left! It's a perfect time to build a tea stash for winter, or grab some easy gifts and stocking stuffers!

All of our remaining retail will by 50% off today, and will be the LAST chance to grab it!

As a reminder, we are taking COVID precautions! Only 5 people will be let in to shop at a time, we ask that all entering use provided hand sanitizer, if you are waiting to enter we ask that you please practice safe distancing in line and space out six feet apart, we also require adequate face coverings to enter. If you can't mask up, call us at 207-922-2896 and we will happily shop for you and bring it to you outside. All curbside pickups must be done by 4pm today.

Well... that's a wrap for us, folx.

We are so grateful for the past 18 months here at Tea & Tarts. It has been an unbelievable experience in so many amazing ways. We wanna take a moment to be heckin' sappy and gross for a sec if you'll indulge us...

There are... SO many people that we have to thank that listing them here would be an almost impossible feat. In the interest of character limits and the amount I'm gonna cry while writing this, I will give a brief summary.

To our families, who have been by our sides while we hatched this bonkers plan, who literally helped us build this place and put in labor and time and effort, we love you so much. Thank you for making this dream come true.

To our friends who have encircled us with hugs and care when we were at our breaking point dozens of times, who cheered us on when we felt like we couldn't take another step. Thank you, we love you and could not have done this without you.

To our wonderful employees, we could not have asked for a better staff than you. You have stood by us since the beginning, offered ideas and ways to help us grow and develop our menu, you have all been absolutely amazing and supportive, and we wish we could keep you all. You made us shine our brightest, thank you.

To our downtown business community, you have all been SO amazing and welcoming to the two new girls in town. It was only with your support, amazing advice and encouragement we were able to be here at all. We desperately wish only the best for all of you, and we will always fight to support amazing local businesses like yours.

And to you, reading this now. To our customers... the cheesiest thing we can think of saying is "without you, none of this would have been possible." Corny, right? We're cooler than that....we should be original and slightly witty and use a ton of exclamation points! Except... none of this would have been possible without you. Every single one of you. These past two weeks have been so emotional. Seeing the love and outpouring of support from everyone, hearing stories about your favorite times within our walls, and accepting countless well wishes... it has meant the world to us.

This isn't the end of the road for us. This is... a turning point. We are, if nothing else, resilient. We will find a way to keep Tea & Tarts and all we stand for alive. We will keep this page open and update you on what we end up doing.

This post is unlike anything I've written on this page so far. There is literally only one exclamation point, which is astounding restraint on my behalf. But with this... thank you. Know that you have all made an incredible impact on our lives and we will miss every single one of you.

We are open 12 to 4 today! Lots of treats in the cases today! We have Strawberry, Lemon and Spicy Blueberry Danishes, Chocolate Croissants, Plain Croissants, Gluten Free and Vegan Chocolate PB No bake cookies, and gluten free and vegan Pumpkin Spice cupcakes!
