We are truly overwhelmed by all of the love, support, and kind words we have received from our community over the past week. It has meant more to our family than we can put into words. We officially closed the doors of Taste of India in Bangor last week, bringing nearly 36 incredible years to an end. From the Folk Festival, to the Bangor Mall, and finally our location on Main Street, we are so grateful for every customer, friend, and supporter who has been part of our journey. Our sister restaurant, Mother India in downtown Lewiston, is still open, so the Taste of India story continues! Thank you, Bangor, for 36 amazing years and so many wonderful memories. We will miss you all dearly. ❤️

After nearly 36 wonderful years, we have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Taste of India. This is not an easy goodbye, as this restaurant has been so much more than a business to our family. It has been a huge part of our lives, and we have been incredibly fortunate to share it with such an amazing community.

As we begin this next chapter, we are looking forward to enjoying retirement, spending more time with our family, and making new memories with the people we love. While we are excited for this new journey, saying goodbye to Taste of India and all of you is certainly bittersweet.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Bangor and the surrounding communities, for 36 incredible years. You will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we will miss you all so much. ❤️
