When it all goes to plan, you take enough club to carry the fairway bunker on the right and leave yourself the best angle into the green. Those who go for glory and try to drive the green take the risk of finding the left greenside bunker instead. From there you'll have to decide: play it safe and sideways back into the fairway short of the green, or go for the hero blind shot up onto the green.

This 4th of July, we're proud to celebrate the veterans who recently completed the PGA HOPE program at Bandon Dunes.

PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) introduces veterans and active-duty military to the game of golf through a six-week curriculum led by PGA Professionals, using the game to support physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being.

Thank you to the 25 veterans who joined us, our eight PGA HOPE instructors, and everyone who helps make this program possible. Happy Independence Day!
