Friends of Charmington’s, we’re sharing some sad news. After 13 incredible years serving our community, it's time to close our doors. Our final day of business is December 23rd.
Through then, we’ll be open Mon-Fri 7a-2p, Sat-Sun 8a-2p. Snag your favorite food and drinks while they’re here and celebrate the memories we've created together. We are still taking catering orders and soon posting our final holiday cookie tin order forms.
We know you may have a lot to say in the coming weeks! We invite you to share your favorite Charmington's moments with us. Tag us, share stories, and let's reminisce together about the beautiful journey we've had. Know that we may not be able to respond to direct messages, as we focus on the work of completing our day to day work and the tasks related to closing. We invite you to stop by and support the cafe and the staff.
Though our chapter here may be ending, the memories and connections we've made will always hold a special place in our hearts. We're immensely grateful for the support, trust, and loyalty you've given over the years. We have enjoyed being part of your lives; the simple daily interactions of a coffee shop really add up over the years. We’ve seen relationships bloom, dissertations take shape, nonprofits grow and change our city. Over much of the pandemic, neighbors told us we were often, for weeks or months, the only people they interacted with in person. It’s impossible to express in a social media post how meaningful and life-altering this adventure has been for us all.
One last thing: our primary goal from the start has been to provide a good environment for our workers. You can help us end things as we started, by supporting the staff and being considerate as we finish our time here. Please understand the owners and staff at Charmington’s are undergoing a transition that can be uncertain and stressful. We have loved being part of the community, and we expect some strong feelings. We will miss you, too, and want to focus on the happy feels. And please, try out and support any of the great local businesses in the area - now, and especially after the 23rd.
