This past weekend, our beloved Crabhouse was impacted by an overnight fire. Thankfully, no one was injured.

While our hearts are heavy, our gratitude is even greater—we are especially grateful to the Baltimore City Fire Department and all first responders for their quick action and unwavering commitment to serving our community. As a family business that has proudly called Baltimore home since 1979, they protected so much more than just a building.

While we are saddened to share that the Crabhouse will be closed for the remainder of the season, we want everyone to know that our restaurant is still open- and still steaming crabs! Join us across the street for seafood, cocktails, and the same familiar faces you’ve known for years! We can’t wait to welcome you, share a meal with you, and continue making memories together.

One thing hasn’t changed—our All-You-Can-Eat Crabs are still here. Join us every Monday through Thursday from 12–9 PM at the ship!

While our Crabhouse may be quiet for now, the heart of Captain James is still beating strong.
