BricknFire Pizza Company is in the very early search for a hands-on Operations Manager to help lead our growing catering, mobile, and retail operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and understands that small business operations often require flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork.
Unlike a traditional corporate management role, success at BricknFire requires the ability to navigate gray areas, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and adjust priorities as business demands change. The ideal candidate is approachable, solutions-oriented, and capable of balancing accountability with empathy.
This role combines operational leadership, event support, staff management, administrative oversight, and day-to-day problem solving.
Core Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Accountability
* Lead by example through a hands-on management style.
* Foster a positive, supportive, and accountable workplace culture.
* Coach employees through performance concerns while recognizing achievements and growth.
* Conduct employee performance discussions, disciplinary conversations, and follow-up coaching when necessary.
* Ensure company policies, procedures, and operational standards are consistently followed.
* Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and development of team members.
* Serve as a trusted resource for employees and management alike.
Operations Management
* Oversee daily operations across all BricknFire business divisions.
* Identify inefficiencies and develop practical solutions to improve operations.
* Maintain operational systems, checklists, inventory controls, and accountability measures.
* Monitor food quality, cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation standards.
* Ensure compliance with health department regulations, food safety standards, and company procedures.
* Assist with scheduling and labor management to meet business demands.
Catering & Event Support
* Become fully trained in BricknFire’s mobile and catering operations.
* Learn to drive company vehicles and trailers safely.
* Participate in private catering events whenever scheduling and business needs allow.
* Support event setup, ex*****on, customer service, and breakdown.
* Serve as a leader on-site and help ensure every event meets BricknFire’s hospitality standards.
* Assist with event logistics, staffing plans, and operational preparation.
Administrative & Office Responsibilities
On days without scheduled catering events, this position will primarily function as an in-office operations role.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing cash handling procedures and money banks.
* Reviewing operational reports and company metrics.
* Following up on employee accountability items.
* Tracking corrective actions and performance improvement plans.
* Monitoring inventory and ordering processes.
* Reviewing operational issues from prior weeks and ensuring follow-through.
* Assisting ownership with administrative projects and process improvements.
* Supporting communication between departments and locations.

Qualifications
* Previous leadership or operations management experience preferred.
* Hospitality, catering, restaurant, food service, or event experience strongly preferred.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
* Ability to lift and move equipment as required for catering operations.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
