There is no way to adequately answer all of your questions, thank everyone that needs to be thanked, which are many, and share stories and memories here.
After almost 9 years, tonight is our last night of service. Operating in such a huge space, particularly post-pandemic, created too many headwinds to navigate. At the end of the day, I wasn't up to the task. That's the news story.
Over the past couple of years, I have been looking to re-imagine the space, primarilly by sharing it with another business, in order to minimize overhead, give a more positive guest experience and create a new dynamic. Various progress with other businesses never came to fruition. Another potential future for Paulie Gee's in Baltimore is being worked on as I type this. A pie or slice might be available from this space or from another location in Hampden sometime relatively soon.
The amount of continuing phone texts and IG and FB DMs I have received with kind words, a particular memory here and stories are overwhelming. Thank you.
