Black as Midnight Coffee Roasters Tiny coffee roaster We are a tiny 2 person roastery in Baltimore that has been roasting coffee since 2015. Right now, we haven't done any of these.

We started selling in 2022 once we upgraded our roasting capabilities. We're very small in scale so we mostly keep to friends and friends of friends. We typically offer single origin* roasted coffee but have been thinking about doing blends. We take orders from Monday to Friday and then roast on the weekend. Shipments and pickups are available the following Wednesday to allow a couple days to rest

**. We are also entertaining the idea of tasting classes and workshops on pour overs and the such. We ship in the CONUS, allow pickup, and do *some* delivery. Since this is operating out of our home, we reserve the right to refuse shady requests. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot us a message via messenger.

*Single Origin: bought from one farm. When we offer coffee, we make sure to pass on the name of the farm and country. I'm sure if you googled the names, you'd find where we buy our green beans from and find the cost of what we pay. The cost we tack on covers time, power, material, and a little bit to put in our pocket towards the business.

**Rest: like some proteins, coffee needs time to rest and de-gas. While we pride ourselves in offering coffee that is probably 'too fresh', coffee fresh out of the roaster is not so great. Believe us, we have done it out of necessity at home and it's not an enjoyable experience. Coffee is usually good to go at peak freshness after 3-5 days and should stay at that level for the next couple weeks (or more if you store it good enough). Either way, store bought coffee is usually 6-12 months past roasting date so it's going to be fresher regardless.

I've been informed the Sumatra smells like very nice ci**rs. To me a nice cigar is like a Gurkha G3 but this I guess is more like a Drew Estate Acid Toast. (Acid ci**rs are still nice. The difference is the latter is sweeter.)
