After almost two decades of serving the Bainbridge Island community, Thuy has made the bittersweet decision to retire and Thuy’s will be closing its doors. Since opening the Cafe at the Pavilion in 2008, followed by Roosters and finally Thuy’s, she has had the privilege of spending her career as part of this incredible community.
Along the way, she has watched children grow into adults, welcomed generations of families through her doors, celebrated countless milestones, and built friendships that will last a lifetime. The faces that first walked in as customers became friends, and over the years, many became family.
To the Bainbridge Island community, thank you. Thank you for welcoming Thuy, supporting a small family business, and allowing her to be a small part of your lives. Your kindness, loyalty, and friendships have meant more than words can express.
Thuy is looking forward to spending more time with her granddaughter and growing family while embracing this next season of life. Although this chapter is coming to an end, Bainbridge Island will always be home, and you’ll still see her around the community she loves.
Tuesday, September 8, 2026, will be Thuy’s final day.
If Thuy has ever been part of a special memory, we hope you’ll stop by before our final day to share one last meal and say hello. It would mean the world to her.
From the bottom of her heart, thank you for allowing Thuy to be part of your lives. It has truly been the honor of a lifetime.
