As much as our people love Chinese food and go to Cardston all the time for it, they also love Mexican food. Good to know.

✨ Our Website is Live ✨

We’re so excited to finally share that our site is officially up and running! This is a soft launch, so please be patient with us as we continue to build and improve. Everything is being managed by Bob and Char, with help from a few family members, and we truly appreciate your support during this time.

Ordering + Delivery Options:
• $14 flat rate shipping (includes shipping + handling), free shipping on orders $75+
• Free pickup in Babb
• Browning customers: free meet-up drop-offs at Glacier Family Foods in the parking lot (done in groups — we’ll email you with timing and when your order is ready)
• Missoula customers: free local delivery and pickup available, 1-2 day delivery
• Our site offers pay later options!😊

The site is super fresh, so if you run into any bugs, have questions, or notice anything off, please let us know—we really appreciate the feedback. We’re also hoping to add more pickup and meet-up locations around Montana soon!

We hope you enjoy it as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it together. Thank you again for your patience and continued support—it truly means everything to us.

We’re so excited to bring Cattle Baron to your table… and even more excited to offer you steaks in the future!🥩🔥

We’ve been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready, finishing up packaging, labels, and making sure it’s all done right.

Here’s a little sneak peek! 👀

Our Cattle Baron Special Sauce is coming soon, along with Char’s CBD line, products for pain and relaxation that have helped a lot of people, and Char’s boutique. 🌿

For those of you who know Bob and Char, you know it’s not like them to sit still. Bob has been working hard on our small temporary outdoor location (the last photo shows the vision), which we’re hoping to have ready sometime this summer. Char has been busy sewing and getting her products ready. A fire and age never had a chance at slowing them down! 😆

Their granddaughter, Kelsie, has taken over socials and is building the website as part of her final project for her marketing degree at the University of Montana. The website will be launching soon with access to purchase the products!

We’ve also been having some important corporation meetings and can’t wait to share what’s next for the permanent future of Cattle Baron, so stay tuned!

🤍 What are you most excited for?

Hi all! 🤍

We’re excited to share that the Cattle Baron Supper Club website will be launching soon! It’ll be a place to stay connected as we rebuild.

On the site you’ll find:
• Special sauce available to ship
• Salad dressings available locally
• Cattle Baron merchandise
• Our placemat stories and the full Cattle Baron story
• Updates from Char’s Boutique

This is one way we’re staying connected while we work toward a temporary location, and eventually a new and improved permanent Babb Bar Cattle Baron Supper Club!

The fire may have taken our building, but not what made the Cattle Baron special. Our recipes and stories are still here, and this is how we can share a piece of that with you.🥩

If there’s anything you’d like to see on the website, let us know! Thank you for all the continued support.

Stay tuned!✨

This spring (possibly summer), we are planning to open a smaller, more casual version of Cattle Baron. We will offer a limited but delicious menu featuring steaks, pizza, and a selection of cocktails, wine, and beer.

This allows us to stay connected to our community while our kids work toward rebuilding the full Cattle Baron experience. Our goal is to come back stronger than ever with something truly special.
Right now, we are taking it one step at a time, but we believe that is all it takes to get started.

Thank you for continuing to support us and for keeping us in your thoughts. It truly means everything to our family. We cannot wait to serve you all again!🤍🥩

Our timeline begins with Mae, Bob’s grandmother (pictured on the right), and the first store/post office she built in the early 1900s after allotment. She later sold that building to Hans Thronson in 1920.

She then built the white building, which she leased out for business and which eventually housed the first Babb Bar. The small log structure with the ram on it is part of that original building. Bob later purchased it from his parents in 1974, and from there, it continued to evolve over his lifetime.

He added onto the right side to create a dance hall, which later became his home. When he heard Indian gaming was coming, he and his sons built onto the left side with plans for a casino. However, after the Indian Gaming Act determined that individual tavern owners wouldn’t be allowed to operate gaming like the rest of the state, that new space sat unused for years. Eventually, it became the home of the Cattle Baron Supper Club.

One of the photos shows us starting over after the fire, along with a glimpse of how big the kids are dreaming for what comes next. It’s still evolving, but it gives a sense of where things are headed. The rest of the photos reflect what the supper club has always been about—our family, our kids, and our grandchildren.

In order to use our catering license, we needed to quickly establish a home for the Babb Bar. That’s how the mini Babb Bar came to life. Alongside it, we’ll have a food truck serving steaks, pizza, and chicken wings, creating a setup that feels like a beer garden and food truck court.

The state requires the license to be tied to a physical location, and we were given one year to build. Because of that, we placed a small Babb Bar on the property to meet that requirement while we continue working toward something bigger.

We are currently searching for a food truck, and once everything is in place, this space will give Bob and I a way to keep the business going and generate income while our family rebuilds a new and beautiful Cattle Baron and motel.

It’s already starting to come to life. It won’t be long before you can order up again.
