Winter is in full swing at Crystal Lake Cafe ❄️

We’ve received about two and a half feet of fresh snow, and the mountains are looking absolutely incredible. It’s the perfect time to experience a true winter scene right here in Los Angeles County’s backyard. The café is surrounded by snow-covered trees and bright white peaks a view you truly have to see in person.

The road has been fully cleared thanks to Caltrans and there are currently no chain requirements, making the drive up smooth and accessible. We truly appreciate the work they’ve done to keep the route safe and open.

We even spotted a giant bear last night a reminder that you’re stepping into real mountain wilderness.

Bring the family, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and let the kids experience the magic of snow close to home.

The first snowfall in a while is officially here, and it’s absolutely beautiful up in Crystal lake! The cafe is covered in fresh snow right now, and we’re expecting it to keep coming down through Thursday.

We should have plenty of snow sticking around through the weekend, making it the perfect time to bring the family up, enjoy the views, and warm up with some great food. There’s nothing better than good company, hot coffee, and a snowy mountain backdrop.
