Next up! We got ube cookies from Kewlya74 from kilala.kitchen from around the way. His family have been Coldwater regulars since the days when we were just a pop up out front on the weekend.

Anthony here. I’ve known this woman my whole life. She was the attendance lady at Agua Fria High School for years and my whole family knows how bad I was in school yet she showed me nothing but loving kindness. When I left Avondale she gave me a santo San Antonio so I wouldn’t get lost and I’ve kept it with me since then. I still loose stuff all the time but I came back to Avondale and when I did she taught me how to make chile verde and tortillas de harina. My Tia Dora Aragon was laid to rest yesterday at 95 years old. We are going to miss seeing her and my tio Pat sit together for a cafecito. We love you so much Dora!

Tag someone who went to Agua Fría Union High and share a memory of her.

Open AAAAAND closed.

Our A/C decided to give up so we’re closed tomorrow. God willing this is a short closure because it was great to see the cafe today be the bustling community space it’s meant to be.

Stay cool ✌🏽

Our fearless (and I mean fearless!) leader is making the call. We’re looking at opening this Wednesday 7/29, 7am.

Add a Coldwater coffee date to your calendar for this Wednesday. We’re that same neighborhood spot. Just with three more windows.

Sneak peak.

And that’s the best we got.

This renovation has been difficult and while we’d love to celebrate that the windows are in, we still aren’t ready to open.

This is our corner of the world and we know it’s tough times for so many more. Stay safe out there and I hope this post isn’t too weird.

Renovations have started and we have some dates. We’ll be closed through Thursday July 23rd.

In addition to the front wall we are making some much needed repairs in our kitchen and updating the interior design.

It’s a major moment for us and we’re looking forward to many more years of service in Old Town. Have a great week in the rain!

Detours this morning. Come through though! It’s our last day of service before we close for renovations. Easiest access is 2nd St. right in front of the building.
