A few weeks ago, something happened in our little shop that reminded us why we do what we do. A young boy—just 8 years old—walked in having never tasted a donut in his life. Severe egg allergies meant he’d spent years hearing “no,” even when all he wanted was to enjoy the same treats other kids get without a second thought.

But that day… his parents learned we don't use eggs when making our donuts. They gave him the green light. He took a bite. And his whole face lit up.

Pure joy.

Pure freedom.

Pure childhood.

For the first time ever, he got to hear YES to a donut.

And we got to witness a moment his family will remember forever.

We’re not solving the world’s problems. We’re just trying to create tiny pockets of happiness in a year that desperately needs them.If you need a little joy too, come see us. We’d love to share a donut—and maybe a moment—worth remembering.

Yes, we asked the parents permission before posting his story.

Edit: It IS worth noting our gluten friendly donuts are made with eggs and fried in the same oil but are not made daily.

Edit: I wanted to double check the flour batter itself we use DOES have egg yolks in it. WE do not use eggs in our donuts when we make them. We have a few friends and family that do have egg allergies and are okay with these and this little boy had success.
