Our prix fixe, table d'hote menu typically consists of tea sandwiches and canapes, scones and tea bread, small desserts (like biscuits, small cakes, puddings or possets), and of course, tea. These beloved lemon lavender biscuits are anything but "store bought."

From freshly ground lavender to gently zested lemons, every batch is made by hand and can only be found at Take Tea. This crowd favorite carries a recipe lovingly handed down by my mentor and former owner, Nann Thomson. Her son, Jon, taught me how to roll them just right and reminded me never to bake too many at once so they keep their beautiful shape.

They may look store bought — but that’s only because they are crafted with care, tradition, and perfection in mind.

Some recipes can’t be replicated. Some traditions can’t be purchased.
