⛳ COURSE CLOSURE UPDATE

Unfortunately, the recent rain—and more rain expected—has left the Avoca CountryView Golf Course too saturated for play. The course will remain CLOSED today and throughout the weekend.

🚫 Saturday’s tournament has also been CANCELLED.

The Flour Mill - Avoca will also be closed due to the Course Closure until next week.

We will reassess course conditions Monday morning and provide an update on whether we are able to reopen.

We know everyone is anxious to get back on the course, and we are too! Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we do what’s best to protect the course. 🌧️⛳

⛳ COURSE CLOSED — TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15

Due to continued rainfall, the Avoca CountryView Golf Course remains saturated and will be CLOSED again today and until further notice.

The AHSTW Cross Country Meet originally scheduled for today has also been CANCELLED due to course conditions.

While we certainly welcome the much-needed rain, we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we give the course time to dry out.

⛳ COURSE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Due to saturated course conditions, Avoca CountryView Golf Course will remain closed until further notice.

The AHSTW Cross Country Meet scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, has also been cancelled for the same reason.

We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we allow the course time to recover. Please watch our page for updates regarding reopening.

Avoca CountryView Golf Course will be closed today as we had to postpone aerification to the greens due to the rain to help keep the course healthy and in great playing condition.

We're Hiring for a NEW Customer Service & Administrative Clerk position!

The City of Avoca, Iowa is accepting applications for a full-time Customer Service & Administrative Clerk. This front-line position provides professional customer service and administrative support, processes payments and records, assists with City communications and public information, and helps support recreation programs, community events and other City activities.

Wage: $18.00–$20.00/hour, depending on qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, IPERS retirement, vacation and sick leave.

Applicants should possess excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and computer skills. Administrative, municipal, recreation, office or customer service experience is preferred.

The Avoca CountryView Golf Course will be closed to public play on Saturday, August 29, as the Knights host their all-day, 18-hole golf tournament.

🏌️ Tee-off is at 11:00 a.m.

🍽️ The Flour Mill Grille will remain OPEN to the public during its regular hours, so you can still stop in for your favorite food and drinks!
