He’s been a part of the Tortilla Flats family for many years, and anyone who knows him knows he’s one of the good ones- kind, loyal, and always there when needed.

Linda is back in the kitchen baking all of your favorite desserts…. the classics you’ve enjoyed at the restaurant for over 37 years- peanut butter pie, key lime pie and flan!

This is a portion of the mural at Tortilla Flats, created by artist Lisa Beard-Barry in 1984. Tortilla Flats opened on April 20, 1984 and closed for good in late 2021. It was not only Avalon's first Mexican restaurant but the first one in Cape May County.

Friends -

In 1983, our family opened a little 16 table restaurant on Dune Drive serving [our twist on Tex-Mex].

Since that summer, we have welcomed thousands to our slice of Avalon with chips and salsa.

We are humbled that countless familes and friends have chosen Tortilla Flats to feed life’s
moments - big and little.

We are thankful for everyone who has worked with us over the years - whether sweating in the kitchen or crying in the cooler.

Finally, we are proud that our family has operated Tortilla Flats since day 1. But we’re retiring from the restaurant business this fall.

However, our retirement is not the end for our restaurant, but an opportunity for another family to make Tortilla Flats their own.
