🏅 Ryan has been with us for 3 years!

📕 Here’s his story!

❤️ I discovered my love for craft beer while taking a tour of the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas with some friends in college. From there we made the leap from the Keystone Lights of the world to the more local frontier of brewing! While there were certainly many Miller Lites consumed along the way, as I traveled I became increasingly interested in consuming beer where it was created and got swept up in creativity and diversity of the IPA revolution

🍺 As my interest grew, visiting new breweries just became what we did on the weekend. After a decade or so out of state I returned to Austin with my soon-to-be wife and found a completely different beer landscape than before. There were a dozen breweries I’d never heard of and we visited them all! Lunches, concerts, brewery 5K races...you name it.

🍻 After burning out of the marketing industry I decided to buy a small business in the form of a liquor store and run it with my dad. This gave me even more opportunity to dig into the local and regional craft beer scene. I had the chance to curate my own beer section within the store and help support the local craft beer industry

🎉 After 12 years we decided the journey had run it’s course and we sold the store, but I still wanted to be part of the local beer scene. I’d had extensive experience working with sales departments of distributors and breweries and figured I’d try my hand at selling rather than buying - and when I saw an ad to work at The Brewtorium to basically build the distro department from the ground up I jumped at the chance

🎊 Some of my favorite parts of the job are working alongside the Brewers Jon & Stephen - watching them make magic behind the curtain while getting to sample the products before anyone else. Bonus- once they’re finished, I get share the fruits of their labor with other local beer enthusiasts in the area and spread the gospel! I work with a lot of great managers at incredible businesses from Georgetown to Kyle

Join us for the 🖼️ Painting & Pints Art Showcase benefitting the ARC of the Capital Area! Browse and shop art from local ARC student artists!

🎨 The ARC of the Capital Area, a non-profit organization serves over 1,000 clients who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the greater Austin area.

🍻 Their annual art show, Paintings & Pints, is put on to showcase and sell artwork created by their students.

🖼️ The artist will receive a commission for each painting that is sold, so events like this help spread the word about their organization and support adults with I/DD.

🍺 We will donate $1 to ARC from every house beer sold from 5:00pm-8:00pm, so come sip and shop local artists with us this evening!

🌙 ASTRO LOUNGE | Hazy IPA | 5.9%
🌃 Astro Lounge is an oat-fueled Hazy IPA saturated with incredulous amounts of Nectaron, Citra, Cashmere and Mosaic hops. Double dry hopped with zero kettle additions, it stays smooth as silk.
