Today's the day.

The Jubilee Jack is on the menu starting at 5 PM.

Two smash patties, seared ham, aged cheddar, fried green corn, butter lettuce, and our homemade plum & cherry preserves inspired by the flavors and seasonal cooking of Edna Lewis.

Rain or shine, we're cooking burgers tonight. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll move the operation inside and keep things rolling.

This will also be our last pop-up for a little while as I take a short break and get settled into a new chapter, so if you've been meaning to come by and grab a burger, tonight's a good night to do it.

With summer heating up and Juneteenth around the corner, I wanted to create a burger inspired by one of my favorite chefs, Edna Lewis.

Lewis believed in cooking with the seasons and making the most of what was fresh and available around you. That philosophy has had a huge influence on how I think about food and how I approach these monthly specials.

The Jubilee Jack starts with two smashed beef patties and layers on seared country ham, aged cheddar, fried green corn, dressed butter lettuce, and a house-made plum & tart cherry preserve. Sweet, salty, savory, and unapologetically Southern.

It's my way of celebrating the flavors of early summer while paying tribute to a chef who helped preserve and share an important part of America's culinary heritage.

🚨 TONIGHT AT GRATA’S 🚨

The HighJack Burger returns tonight starting at 5pm… but that’s not all.

Chef Ben Garwood cooked up a one-night pizza special inspired by the same wild flavor profile — featuring gouda, pickled jalapeños, chicken, strawberry jam, and a cool ranch Dorito crema that somehow comes together into something ridiculously balanced, smoky, spicy, sweet, and honestly kinda elegant.

It’s one of those flavor combinations that sounds chaotic on paper but absolutely works once it hits your mouth.

Come grab a burger, a pizza, or both before we sell out.

We are back!!

The HIGHJACK REDO is happening this Monday, May 18th after our original April 20th event got rained out.

We’ll be back at Grata’s Pizzeria on South Lamar from 5PM until sold out serving up a night of smash burgers, including the return of the HIGHJACK.

This one is happening rain or shine, so bring your appetite.

You don’t want to miss this ridiculously over-the-top burger special.

Chef Nomadic Jack is cooking up The Sith Jack — a dark side smash burger built to go all in.
