When I set out to open Oseyo, I was nervous about how hard it would be. When I told my mom, she simply said, “Well, what else are you going to do? Life is hard.”
She said it so matter-of-factly, but that perspective has stayed with me throughout this journey. Owning a restaurant has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and I’ve learned that hard isn’t bad or good — it’s just part of it. Hard things make us stronger, more empathetic, humbler, and hopefully help us grow.
