Early pandemic there were a lot of restaurants sharing GoFundMe to help their staff stay afloat.
I lost my job as the Event/Sales Manager at G'Raj Mahal in April and spent the next few months volunteering my time to help the owner, Sidney.
Sidney has opened a new concept this year, something that she'd already started in 2019 with her lease on Rainey Street expiring, only to have the struggle of keeping both locations afloat throughout various stages of this pandemic.
She is the most loyal, kindest person I've worked for and continues to put her heart into her passion.
If you're able to help, I'd love to see her survive all of this and keep one of Austin's beloved restaurants alive in 2021.

Happy Diwali✨

Our new place is born! Mumtaz Market. We are on South 1st and Mary in the La Reyna building...so many great memories there as a kid and now I am honored to make more memories in this beautiful neighborhood. And...Parking!! We have a fantastic new focused dinner menu with creations using fresh and local produce and meats I personally hand select daily. We will soon have the ole G'Raj curry menu available for midday and an early day menu with an espresso bar. Lots of vegetarian and vegan items...of course. No dumbing it down, our vegan dishes are already favorites of even the most avid meat eaters...my chefs and I are very excited to showcase our new flavors and introduce the neighborhood it's very own curry pub. Great cocktails, wine, and beer too.
