Tejas Coffee

Tejas Coffee Tejas Coffees are held each Thursday of the semester at the Tejas House (2600 Rio Grande) at 9 PM. Refreshments are provided. Every Thursday evening at 9 p.m.

They are informal gatherings where guest speakers come and present on interesting research, current events, etc. during the spring and fall a speaker is invited to talk on a topic of interest at our house. The speakers are often professors but can be anyone with something interesting to talk about. Tejas Coffees are different from normal classroom lectures in that the environment is very informal:

everyone sits in our living room on couches or comfortable chairs and feedback is strongly encouraged. Refreshments are served as people are mingling before and after the speaking portion. Club members are strongly encouraged to bring guests so they may meet other people as well as club members.

I hope everyone enjoyed last week's coffee with SXSWi Hugh Forrest. SXSW is only a few weeks away and if you dont have any plans for Spring Break, I suggest you stay in Austin to enjoy music, movies and all the new technology that will be coming out.

This week we will not be having a coffee. I repeat, this Thursday, March 1st, we will not be having a coffee. Please join us next week though with Admiral Inman. Admiral Inman has held many titles from being Director of Naval Intelligence, to Director of the National Security Agency to his last position as Deputy Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. I can't say how excited I am to host Admiral Inman and have him as our guest.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week, good luck on all yall's exams and we will see ya next week
