Pacha Organic Cafe is looking for partners!
Dear Pacha patrons, we need help! We’d like to continue our mission: to promote organic, sustainable and local ingredients, and the people who produce them, prepared so as to bring you a modicum of comfort and satisfaction. But … our business levels have still not recovered to pre-pandemic. While inflation has definitely taken a toll on our margins and will require some pricing adjustment (I’ve been resisting but a hike is imminent), our biggest stressor has been a markedly larger rent (and associated costs) in our modestly larger new location. We hope that if you love Pacha you’ll continue to spread the word to friends and family to give us a visit, especially during the week. We’ve tried to re-create a homey and comfortable space to relax, visit with friends, or catch up on your emails.
At this point we are in need of some partnerships and/or investors. We are open to your ideas and proposals. There’s room for an ambitious cook to re-make our lunch menu and/or develop an evening service, and begin making a name for themselves. Whether it’s a French bistro style, with simple but interesting plat-du-jour, or Sri Lankan home cooking (I’d do it if I were able to be in Austin!), we’re open to any cuisine. We would only require that the sourced ingredients are of the same high standard we maintain. We are looking for Pacha investors or partners to help pay the rent and other fixed expenses and enable us to grow into the space and make full use of it. We have the permits, beer and wine license, POS, prep cooks, etc, so it’s a way to start YOUR future restaurant endeavour in a relatively lean way, before perhaps finding your permanent home (or maybe it’s a long-lasting partnership!).
We would love to hear from you with any questions, ideas, chef leads, or concerns. Please email us at [email protected]. If you prefer to talk over the phone, reach out with an email and I’ll gladly give you my mobile number. Thank you for your help in keeping Austin independent, local—and organic—not so weird a thing!
