You might not dislike tofu… you might just not have tried Burmese tofu yet 👀

Ours is made from chickpeas, and Tofu Thoke is one of the ways we grew up eating it in Myanmar.

If tofu has never been your thing, try this one before you decide 😅

There is only 1 day left to try one of Myanmar’s most loved dishes for FREE 👀

If you’ve never had Laphet Thoke, this is a good excuse to finally try it.
It’s Burmese Tea Leaf Salad. Savory, tangy, nutty, crunchy, with so many different textures in one bite. Definitely not the kind of salad you’re probably used to.

For Mom’s 1st anniversary, spend $25 or more and we’ll give you one for free ❤️
The anniversary special ends August 15.
Come try Burmese food the way we grew up eating it in Myanmar.

Some dishes just make you keep going back for more rice 😭

ငံပြာရည်ကြော် [Fried Fish Sauce] is one of those. It’s savory, a little spicy, full of flavor, and honestly so good with hot rice.

ချဉ်ပေါင်ကြော်[Stir-Fried Roselle Leaves with Shrimp] is totally different. It’s tangy, a little sour, savory from the shrimp, and one of those dishes that tastes even better with a warm bowl of rice.

These are the kinds of dishes we grew up eating in Myanmar. We cook them the way we know and love them.
And now you don’t have to wait for a special anymore ❤️

ငံပြာရည်ကြော် + ချဉ်ပေါင်ကြော် are available every day at Mom’s.
If you’ve never tried Burmese food before, this is a very home-style place to start.

We didn’t want cake for our first birthday.
We wanted to share something from home. ❤️
Mom’s turns ONE on August 9.

So from August 8 to 15, spend over $25 and we’ll give you a FREE Laphet Thoke, Burmese Green Tea Salad.

If you’ve never tried it before, this is not the kind of salad you’re expecting.
One bite is tangy and savory from the fermented tea leaves, then comes the crunch from peanuts, crispy beans and fried garlic.
Fresh, crunchy, a little funky, and really hard to stop eating once you start.

This is the Laphet Thoke we grew up eating in Myanmar, and that’s exactly how we make it here.

One year ago, Austin gave our little family restaurant a chance.
This week, we want to say thank you by sharing a little taste of home with you. ❤️

Bring the friend who’s always down to try something new.

🗓️August 8 to 15 , 2026
🎉Spend over $25 and get a FREE Laphet Thoke.

You’ve had fried rice. But have you ever tried rice salad?
This is Htamin Thoke, a Burmese rice dish we grew up eating in Myanmar.

The first bite is warm and savory. Then you get the crunch from the peanuts and crispy onions, a little heat from the chili, and a rich, runny bite of fried egg.

Some bites are crispy. Some are soft. Some have that salty crunch from the fish. And the warm soup on the side brings everything together.
That’s what makes Htamin Thoke so good. Every bite tastes a little different, but somehow it all works.

Mom makes it the same way we’ve always eaten it back home. No fusion version. Just Burmese comfort food the way we know it.
Never tried Burmese food before? Start with this one.
And the next time someone tells you rice is boring, show them this plate.

We never expect people to know what Burmese food is.
We just hope they’ll give it one try.
And sometimes, we’re lucky enough to receive a review like this.
Thank you, Lisa. Reading your words made our whole family smile.

Anyone who thinks rice is boring hasn’t tried it the Burmese way.
Lahpet Htamin [လက်ဖက်ထမင်း] is rice mixed with fermented tea leaves. The tea leaf flavor comes through in every bite. It’s savory, a little earthy, and has a slight bitterness that makes it so different from regular rice.

Htamin Thoke (Rice Salad) is a completely different kind of rice dish. It’s soft, full of flavor, and mixed by hand with different textures throughout, so every bite gives you a little bit of everything.

These dishes may be new to you, but they’re the kind of food many Burmese families grew up eating.
At Mom’s, we make them the same way we grew up eating them in Myanmar.

Try both and tell us which one you’d order again.
Lahpet Htamin or Htamin Thoke? 👀
