In Ottoman culture, coffee was never served alone.
The rose delight came with every cup โ€” not as a dessert, but as part of the ritual. The sweetness of the delight balances the boldness of the coffee. The floral note of the rose lifts what the grounds leave behind.
500 years of pairing. One cup, one piece. The way it was always meant to be. โ˜•๐ŸŒน

This is the Ottoman team.
We don't pour coffee. We host a ritual.
How to pour slowly. How to look someone in the eye when you hand them their cup. How to make a stranger feel like they were expected.
The coffee is 500 years old. The hospitality is older.
You can teach anyone to brew. You can't teach anyone to care. That's the standard for every person who stands behind our table.

Claudia never planned to become a baklava master.
It started with a TV show โ€” Suleiman the Magnificent. She watched the Ottoman world come to life and felt something pull at her. A history that wasn't hers, but somehow was.
She learned the coffee. The sweets. The art of reading fortunes in the grounds at the bottom of a cup. Alex's mother taught her to make baklava by hand and to pour coffee the way it's always been poured โ€” slowly, with care, never in a hurry.
Today, a Mexican woman carries an Ottoman tradition forward in Austin, Texas.

Because culture was never meant to stay in one place. โ˜•

Before there was espresso, there was a copper pot and a bed of sand.
Turkish coffee was born in the 1500s โ€” in the kitchens of the Ottoman palace, long before Italy ever pulled a shot. It traveled from Yemen to Istanbul, from Istanbul to Vienna, and from Vienna into every cafรฉ in Europe. Every cappuccino, every latte, every espresso bar you've ever walked into traces back to this one ritual.
500 years later, we still brew it the same way. Slow. By hand. In sand.

What is Turkish Delight? ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท
Turkish Delight (Lokum) is one of the oldest sweets in the world, dating back over 500 years to the Ottoman Empire.
Traditionally served alongside Turkish Coffee, it represents hospitality, friendship, and sharing moments together.
Made from sugar and natural starch, its soft texture and delicate flavors make it completely different from typical candy or desserts.
At Ottoman Foods, Turkish Delight is part of the full Turkish Coffee ritual โ€” just as it has been enjoyed for centuries.
โœจ Small bite. Big tradition.
Available at our Austin markets.

This is what you actually need ๐Ÿ‘‡

โ˜• 1. Cezve (Copper Pot)
Small pot. Wide bottom. Narrow top.
That shape creates the foam.
โ˜• 2. Extra finely ground coffee
Not espresso.
Not drip.
Powder-fine โ€” almost like cocoa.
โ˜• 3. Cold water
Always cold. Measure with your cup.
โ˜• 4. Sugar (optional)
Add it before heating.
Never after.
โ˜• 5. Low heat. No rushing.
Slowly heat.
When foam rises โ€” remove.

Do NOT boil aggressively.
Let it settle.
Pour gently.
Donโ€™t stir in the cup.
That thick layer?
Thatโ€™s flavor.
Ottoman Turkish Coffee.

600 years of tradition โ€” in one cup.

Turkish Coffee is not brewed.
Itโ€™s crafted.
Powder-fine grind.
Copper cezve.
Low heat patience.
Thatโ€™s why it tastes different.
Thatโ€™s why it hits different.
Want the real experience?

Come see us at the market.
