We are deeply committed to our local community and always strive to be present in times of need. Over the years, we have supported numerous organizations catering to various aspects of our community, including children, animals, education, emerging businesses, and much more. We have been there in some capacity, lending our assistance whenever required.
Expanding our love for the community beyond the borders of Texas, we have now directed our attention towards Cuba. For quite some time, and have been personally delivering medicine and other essential items to this region. What initially began as a personal endeavor has now evolved into an opportunity for our community to contribute to this cause.
The conditions in Cuba are gravely inhumane and unsustainable, and we are determined to make a difference. To achieve this, we are raising funds to support Amparo Yoruba. Your generous donations will enable us to:
1. Ensure access to nutritious meals.
2. Maintain the facilities and enhance living conditions.
3. Offer educational resources such as books, school supplies, and educational programs.
4. Purchase medicine, personal hygiene products, and essential healthcare supplies.
5. Acquire a generator to guarantee uninterrupted electricity supply during blackouts.
Amparo Yoruba, located in Camagüey, Cuba, is an orphanage that provides shelter, food, and vital medical assistance to Afro-Cuban children aged 18 and below. The name Amparo Yoruba pays homage to the rich Afro-Cuban/Yoruba heritage prevalent in rural Cuba. The facility strives to uphold the communal values of the Yoruba/Lucumí people, acknowledging that raising a child truly takes a village.
