Family and friends of La Cabana,

It is with mixed emotions that we formally announce the closure of our family restaurant after 50 years of serving the city of Aurora and its surrounding communities. We feel honored to have been a part of your lives and we are deeply grateful for the loyalty and support you have shown us throughout the years.

Making the decision to close our restaurant was not easy, but we feel it is the right one for our family at this time. We want to express our heartfelt appreciation for our dedicated staff who have been with us through thick and thin, and who have helped create an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality that our customers have come to love.

We have decided to put the property up for sale, as we are no longer able to keep the business moving forward.

Thank you again for your patronage and for making the past 50 years so special for us. We will cherish the memories and the friendships we have made.

We cannot express enough in words the appreciation we have for the love and support we have recieved over the last few days. Dads sudden passing created a huge void in our world and hearts. We know that we shared him with so many and we will all remember him for his smile, kindness, generosity and passion to help others. Here is the information for his remembrance and arrangements. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Steve Hernandez, owner of La Cabana. Dad has devoted his life to serving those that enjoy our our authentic Mexican cusine since 1992 after taking over the buisness from his father. We ask that you please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as we grieve in this difficult time. We will provide arrangement information in the near future as we know you all are apart of our family. The La Cabana Staff wants to keep the restaurant open over the weekend in support of his memory and celebration of his life. We will closed starting Monday for sometime until we decide on the future of our family establishment that has been serving Aurora and the surrounding communities for over 55 years.
