Flyin’ Farmer Pitstop was built with one goal in mind—to create a place that people enjoy stopping at, whether you’re heading to work, on your way to the lake, or just out for a drive.

We’re getting closer every week, and we’re excited to bring quality food, fuel, drinks, groceries, bait & tackle, and a friendly place to stop to Jenkins and the surrounding area.

We’d love to hear from you…

What would make Flyin’ Farmer Pitstop your favorite place to stop? Let us know in the comments—we’re still putting everything together, and we’d love to hear your ideas.

From our family to yours, we hope everyone has a safe and happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸 Enjoy the time with family and friends, travel safely, and we’ll see you soon.

A few months ago, this was just a piece of ground and a vision.
Now every time we fly the drone up, it's a little easier to picture what Flyin' Farmer Pitstop is going to become.
We're building this for the people who live here, work here, and travel through here every day.
There's still a lot of hard work ahead, but we're one step closer.
Thank you all for following along and supporting us from the beginning. We can't wait to open the doors and welcome everyone in.

WHY FLYIN’ FARMER? 🏁🌾

Flyin’ Farmer Pitstop carries the name of Ken Essary — known by many as “The Flyin’ Farmer.”

Many know Ken from racing, where he spent decades on the track, but racing was only part of the story. Farming, hard work, helping neighbors, and building relationships in the community have always been just as big of a part of who he is.

As this project came together, we wanted it to be more than just a gas station. We wanted it to represent where we come from and recognize the values that built it.

Flyin’ Farmer Pitstop is being built by family:

Karen Essary-Johnson (daughter)
Glen Johnson (son-in-law)
Mason Fulp (grandson)

This project is dedicated to Ken & Linna Essary — and the hard work, dedication, family values, and community they’ve built over the years.

Built through hard work and dedication.

If you have memories, stories, or photos of Ken and Linna over the years, we’d love to see them in the comments 👇

FRAMING IS UP. 🔨🏁

Pretty cool seeing this thing is finally starting to look like a building.

The framing is up at Flyin’ Farmer Pitstop and every week it’s getting a little closer to what we’ve been envisioning. Still a lot left to do, but it’s exciting seeing it come together out here in Jenkins.

We really appreciate all the support so far. The response since announcing this project has honestly been unreal.

What are you most excited to see when we open? Fuel? BBQ? Grocery items? Beer? Something else?

Let us know in the comments — we’re still putting things together and would love to hear what the area wants to see.

More updates coming soon.

A little progress update from the corner of Hwy 39 & State Hwy 248 in Jenkins.

Dirt is moving, the pad is taking shape, and Flyin’ Farmer Pitstop is officially coming to life.

We’ve had a lot of people asking what all we’re going to have, so here’s some of what’s coming:

We will have fuel — including unleaded gas, clear diesel, and off-road diesel — whether you’re filling up your vehicle, boat, tractor, equipment, or just stopping in on the way through.

We’ll also have breakfast in the mornings, coffee, lunch, sandwiches, smoked meats, drinks, beer, bait & tackle, grocery-type items, and more.

Diamond J Catering will be a big part of the food side, so if you’ve had our brisket, pulled pork, ribs, or sides before — that’s the kind of food we plan to have available at the store.

We’re also looking at having meat by the pound available for easy pickup, so you can grab dinner without having to cook.

One of our goals is to carry the kind of everyday items people around here need, so hopefully you don’t have to drive all the way to town for one or two things.

We appreciate all the support so far. The response to the announcement has been unreal.

And if there’s something you’d like to see us carry, let us know now. We’re still planning and putting things together, so we’d love to hear what the area wants.

More updates coming soon.

Well… I guess it’s time to make it Facebook official.

Flyin’ Farmer Pitstop is coming to Jenkins, MO.

A lot of people have already heard about it or drove by and seen the work going on, so we figured we might as well go ahead and start posting updates.

We’re building a local stop for fuel, food, drinks, snacks, and a little dirt track history. We want it to be clean, convenient, and something a little different for the area.

We’ll post more as things keep coming together.

Thanks to everyone who’s already been asking about it and supporting the idea.
