Almost 3 years ago when Heather and myself opened Champs, we had no idea people would literally come from all over the world just to try our cheesesteaks. But, as it may, we hear it all the time:”I drove 400 miles for this”, “I detoured my route back to Florida to try this place”, “I’m in town, flying home and just had to stop here first. I put my flight off this cheesesteak!”.

To be in the restaurant business you’ve got to have a passion for food. You must be a foodie. As you may know, Champs won best restaurant for all of Audubon & all of South Jersey. The owners of Champs are foodies at heart and fully recognize how many other wonderful eating establishments there are. We will be occasionally featuring a different restaurant location we enjoy to eat at. We hope this helps spread the love to all the other amazing restaurants in South Jersey and surrounding areas.

Today we’d like to shine the light on The Riverwinds Restaurant located in West Deptford. It’s a fine dining establishment set right on the Delaware with beautiful scenery of the city, parks, the airport and open sky. Heather and I have eaten here on numerous occasions and have never had a bad experience. In fact, the last time we were here, I ordered a filet mignon that was so butter knife tender, I wish I had ten more to eat afterwards. If you’re looking for a special date night or a beautiful place with amazing food to celebrate that special occasion, look no further than River Winds.🥂
