Not only is today Matt’s 10 year anniversary, but it’s also our amazing GM, Jess’s!!! 🤎☕️ You know her, you love her, and if you’ve been around Simple Roast for a while, you KNOW she’s been a huge part of making it what it is today!
Jess was hired by Matt way back at the very beginning of Simple Roast’s drive-thru journey. Back then, Matt thought four flavors was plenty! (vanilla, chocolate, caramel & hazelnut) Jess, however, had other plans and said simply, that will not do. 😂 And honestly… thank goodness she did!
From creating some of the original specials, to watching her beautiful artwork evolve across our menu boards, merch & everything in between, to helping bring in customers and baristas, becoming a manager, and eventually working her way up to GM. Jess has truly done it all. These days, she’s making schedules, doing payroll, keeping Matt on track as his right-hand gal, somehow juggling approximately 47 things at once, and still finding time to hop behind the bar and do what she does best.
Simple Roast genuinely wouldn’t be what it is today without Jess. She is a girl of MANY talents, a total powerhouse when it comes to multitasking, and somehow manages to keep everything moving even when there are a million things happening at once. But beyond everything she does for the business, one of the things we appreciate most about Jess is how much she genuinely cares about her team. She is compassionate, supportive, and quite literally one of our biggest cheerleaders. She wants to see all of us succeed and is always there to hype us up, help us out, or remind us that we’re doing a good job when we need to hear it🥹
Thank you, Jess, for everything you’ve done over these last 10 years and everything you continue to do for Simple Roast, our team, our customers, and our community. Thank you for growing alongside this crazy little coffee company and for putting up with all of our craziness along the way😂
