My good friend Sandi Egan. Told me a great story about her mother. Judy Moeckel 12/27/1941 - 8/28/2013 - Before she moved to California in 1978, she modeled professionally in Columbus, Ohio. She was beautiful till the day she died at 71. She like I loved pecan praline. Lots of pictures still to go through, having hope that we can hear the stories when the walls start talking.💌
Is there someone you’d like to highlight, we’d love to hear the story. We sure hope you can come celebrate with us tomorrow as we have our ribbon-cutting at 12 PM Thursday.

I was so excited when the ear doctor said no appointment for the rest of September. I think I pushed post twice on the Mom’s kitchen page. I was excited to start juicing some mandarins and start testing the proof time on our mandarin roll. We will be selling once it’s perfected.  I am trying out my grandmother Tilly’s beautiful baking recipes. testing some of the proof Time on some of her pastries. I know I’ve said this already but I’m excited to know my grandmother was actually named Tatiana, a beautiful woman from Ukraine. I’m going to relax and take some doctors orders and make sure I lie horizontal for at least three hours at a time per day no then when I stopped by Mom’s kitchen to check in to see if Amanda liked the gluten-free bread, I was thinking about trying to provide, she was whipping up a great milkshake for someone in the restaurant. It immediately got me started thinking about the mint chocolate chip that looks so yummy from the counter. Boy I’m really splurging, today’s a grilled cheese lunch kind of day then my long nap 👏
Have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe this Labor Day. Don’t work too hard. Life is short enjoy the ride.👍 Lewis gave us a two thumbs up and a 10 out of 10 rating today after picking me up he got himself a great mushroom burger with a side of onion rings, ❤️

Today was my well deserved “Curious George” breakfast! Banana pancakes served besides a chocolate shake! I saw a snippet of the movie last week and that is sure. I’m going to watch again real soon. Lots of laughs.
Don’t worry, dad , we never forget “ the cherry on top.” Sacramento Ear Nose and Throat has me down at 10:15 for my hopefully last ear injection. There are so many medical advancements. I will listen with an open mind.
I am a little nervous about the options for the future.
Normally, they send me home for a few hours, I have to take it easy for a bit as I am hoping to start baking.
I’m hoping to hone in my pineapple upside down skills for the cupcakes. We will be able to provide with our teriyaki chicken wrap or beautiful Hawaiian burgers next week

Wow, can you believe it September 1 already this year’s flying by. We’re just trying to catch up and get to the last quarter of the year so we can do a big up job in 2027. Our eyes are set on the horizon and we have great goals in front of us. Expanding our menu and opening up some extra hours throughout the week even in the suppertime would be really great. We would love to offer blue specials. Back to basics for specials this week good old breakfast yummy full stack of pancakes on our breakfast platter. Focusing on our milkshakes towards the end of the week. I’m hoping to have a ice cream Social. Looking through a lot of the photos. I’m still trying to sort out which ones I can archive and which ones might be able to be put back up on some of the walls. I would love to know if you have any stories or any history of the women we have here in the boxes left to go through at Mom’s kitchen from the previous location.

It was great to see so many custom hot rods at the Mel‘s car show parking lot today. Wish I could’ve stayed, but I’m off to Southern California to visit Family. Wishing everyone in Auburn well and Loving that we all can get together and even hang out in the shade of the parking lot while we look over these beautiful automobiles. Two or three of the favorites stuck out to me, unfortunately, I forgot to drop off their free milkshake coupon. Boy that 1969 Camaro has my IOU on it.
Thank you, Mel for always putting up a wonderful event to stroll through and see the community enjoying these beautiful automobiles
