Lea's Kitchen

Lea's Kitchen Lea's Soft Jams are healthier options due to reduction in sugar and adding more fruit for fiber and flavor. For the "all natural" people, honey options.

Due to the interest in No Sugar , we made recipes with Swerve.

Here are my jams this morning at the Crossroads Community Market. It is raining but we have a fabulous Pavilion to sit under and the rain cooled air is wonderful.

Looking forward to Saturday's market! I missed most of the month of July due to WORK (busiest time of year for my photography business) and a Native Plant Society Symposium in Dallas last week.

I will have the Fig Jam (made from my two Fig trees) as well as the Wild Mustang Grape Jam, Blackberry Jam & Blackberry/Habanero made from my wild blackberry bramble. I got the wild Mustang Grapes from my neighbors Sandy & Wayne. Also made a batch of Pear Jam from the small Asian Pear that one of my neighbors dropped off.

Oh boy I made some tasty jam today. I made two batches (one regular and one with honey) of Fig Jam from the figs in my back yard. I also made a batch of Pear Jam from the pears a neighbor gave me. There just is no substitute for homegrown fresh fruit to work with. They are all very yummy!

A few weeks ago I was making Blackberry & Blackberry/Habanero from the berries out by our arena and frozen Habaneros from last years garden. I also made some fabulous Wild Mustang Grape Jam from the grapes my neighbors picked out of their trees and fenceline. Gotta love the tastes of summer!!!

Hi Friends
Just wanted to let my "jam loving friends" know that I will have my jam at the Crossroads Community Market on Saturday. We are open at 7:00 a.m. and finish up about 11:00 or till the customers leave. I will have blackberry jam made with fresh wild blackberries from our arena fence. The berries are huge this year! I guess they are loving all of the rain we have had. Looks like I will be picking berries for the next couple of weeks.

Crossroads Market is open for business this morning. Beautiful morning! Come see us.

Hi friends
I will be set up at the Denton Comm. Market tomorrow! New Market hours are 8:00 a.m. - 12:00. Beautiful day and lots of yummies to share!!! Yesterday I did a test batch of Blackberry/Habanero jam with a few berries left from last year. I can't wait till my berries get ripe! That Blackberry/Hab jam is soooo good! Since no ripe berries yet, I made extra Mango/Habanero jam

I will be making Blackberry Habanero jam in a few weeks!

The Crossroads Community Market had it opening day Sat. May the 4th. It was a beautiful day and we had more customers than last years market! I think people were very curious to see the beautiful new pavilion that the Town Of Crossroads built in their park. The vendors loved it too! We didn't have to get all muddy! I should have taken pictures but I was a little too busy selling jam!
