I just came in from the garden and it’s was a jungle out there!!
As always, I overplanted. And then I overcrowded what I overplanted. And then apparently I decided we needed more flowers because clearly, if there is any empty space it must be filled with flowers.
There’s something kinda beautiful about it though. It’s messy and wild and things are growing over each other, weeds everrrrywhere, and nothing is exactly where I thought it would be.
One of my sunflowers got knocked over in a windstorm, and instead of giving up, it just kept growing. So now it’s laying there doing its thing, half grown across the ground and half way reaching for the sky and honestly… I love it so so much.
Standing there looking at all of it, and cleaning up I just kept thinking how much that garden feels like life. A little out of control. So soooo FULL. Things I planted on purpose, things I didn’t, things I thought would thrive that are nowhere to be found and things I thought might fail that somehow kept going anyway.
Sooo far from perfect.
Thank God for that. He always meets me right where I am, right when I need Him.
He knew I needed the reminder that things don’t have to look any certain way to truly be good, and I’m so grateful for that, and His endless love.
So anyway… The stand is open, come as you are
