Hector Contreras, owner of Hector’s Kitchen, is a seasoned chef with many, many years of food experience. He was born and raised in Colombia, South America and came to the USA as a young adult. He lived in Asheville, North Carolina for the past 30 years before moving to Gadsden, Alabama. His first restaurant was The Neighborhood Kitchen in a small community in West Asheville. Business started gro

wing, so he later opened up Havana Express in the Asheville mall for a few years and relocated to Downtown Asheville. After several years, he sold Havana Comida Latina, and him and his wife, Bonnie, decided to retire to Gadsden, Alabama to be closer to family. During his retirement, he decided that he would open up another restaurant. This time, he simplified the menu and focused on select items. Known for his Cuban Sandwich, which many have experienced, now he is bringing that experience to Attalla, Alabama. Come be a part of the family at Hector’s Kitchen.
