For all of the history buffs, who gathered here today for a Back and Fork through time. Lets raise a glass to a cocktail with a Back a Fork Through Time episode🍸⏳

This week, we're taking a sip back in time with the iconic Martini. Legend has it that the cocktail was born when a miner requested a drink to celebrate striking it rich, inspiring what became known as the "Martinez Special." Early recipes leaned sweeter with sweet vermouth and orange curaçao, but as tastes evolved, so did the Martini, transforming into the crisp, dry classic made with London dry gin and dry vermouth. While vodka eventually found its place in the spotlight, gin remains the original spirit behind this timeless cocktail.
