This Saturday, our First Lady of RipVanWhisker will make her FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE at the Friends of Guiseppe adoption event in Pleasantville!

Flossie will be making a special appearance to meet some wonderful people, support some wonderful rescue cats, and hand out a few of her very first Flossie Glossies. 👑🐱

Well… the secret is out. 👀💗

This Saturday, we're joining our friends at Friends of Guiseppe for their adoption event in Pleasantville — and Flossie will be making a special appearance!

She may not be there for the entire event, but she'll definitely be stopping by to meet some wonderful people, support some wonderful rescue cats, and make a little bit of mischief along the way. 😼

And because Flossie believes every first appearance deserves a souvenir, she'll have some of her very first Flossie Glossies to hand out, along with a few other fun surprises. 💗

Each one is a little piece of RipVanWhisker history, and we can't wait for them to make their way to the amazing people who believed in this crazy cat-cafe dream early on. ❤️

Whisker Fans, it looks like the outdoor cats need our help.

📢OUR COMMUNITY CATS NEED YOUR VOICE! 📢

There is currently a bill in the New Jersey Legislature that could make a real difference for community cats across our state.

NJ Senate Bill S384 — the Compassion for Community Cats Law would provide subsidized preventive veterinary care for outdoor community cats, including Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR). TNVR helps prevent future litters, improves cats’ health, and provides a humane way to manage community cat populations.

But legislation doesn’t move forward without people speaking up.

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP:

1️⃣ Contact your local Legislators in the Senate and Assembly, and request that they take voting and sponsorship steps to pass the Bill. Find your Legislator here: https://www.njleg.state.nj.us/

2️⃣ Ask for S384 to be brought to a committee vote. Contact the Chair of the Senate Economic Growth Committee, Nilsa I. Cruz-Perez, and request that she brings the Bill to a vote in the S.E.G. 🐾 Did You See That?!

Okay… this is getting a little strange. 👀

Someone—or should we say someCAT—may have been sniffing around RipVanWhisker lately.

We can't confirm that Flossie was there…

But we can say that someone left a rather suspicious trail of paw prints. 🐾

And then there was this shadow. 😳

Coincidence?

We think not.

Flossie may be keeping a very close eye on the progress at RipVanWhisker. After all, somebody has to make sure we're doing this right! 😹

🐾 RVW UPDATE: Things Are Starting to Take Shape!

The walls are getting some color! 🎨

Our back wall is now wearing its new sand color, bringing a little bit of that beach/boardwalk feeling into RipVanWhisker. 🏖️ And this is just the beginning — the rest of our color scheme is starting to come together, and we're getting closer and closer to seeing the vision become reality.

Meanwhile, there's more good news for our Founding Humans! ❤️

The newest batch of Founding Human shirts is being shipped to us tomorrow! 📦👕 We're excited to get these into the hands of the folks who helped us get RipVanWhisker moving. Your support means more than we can say.

And finally...

👀 Someone spotted Flossie sniffing around the building.

We're not saying she was checking up on us...

We're just saying Flossie knows where RipVanWhisker is. 😹

Things are happening. The walls are getting painted, the Founders' shirts are on the way, and apparently even Flossie is keeping tabs on the progress.

🐾 Another Donation. Another Step Closer.

Things are really starting to take shape at RipVanWhisker! 🐱

A huge thank you to Founding Human Cathy Washburn for her generous donation of this GIANT cat tree! Our future residents are going to have plenty of places to climb, perch, nap, and keep an eye on their humans. 😻

And speaking of taking shape… the Cheshire Cat hallway is almost complete! 💜💗

Two coats of paint are on, and we’re down to the finishing touches and trim. We think this hallway is going to be a pretty fun surprise for our visitors!

Every donation, every helping hand, and every Founding Human is helping turn an empty space into RipVanWhisker Cat Cafe.

We’re getting closer! 🐾🎰💜

🎰🐾 Things are starting to look VERY RipVanWhisker around here…

Another day, another step closer to opening the doors. And today’s update comes with a little bit of everything.

💻 Meet the new RVW Brain Center!
Two monitors, a new workstation, and a whole lot of work that happens behind the scenes to turn this crazy idea into an actual business. Somebody has to keep all these cats organized. 😹

🎨 And check out these incredible paintings!
A volunteer donated these amazing pieces to RipVanWhisker, and we absolutely love them. They’re exactly the kind of personality and creativity we want people to feel when they walk through our doors.

💜 And then there’s the purple…
The first coat is going up, and we're finally starting to see the space transform. There’s still plenty of work ahead, but every painted wall makes it a little easier to picture what this place is going to become.

This isn't a fancy finished-space reveal.

This is the messy, exciting, “we're actually building this thing” part.

Every wall, every piece of furniture, every donated piece of art, every computer, every box that gets carried through the door…

…it all gets us a little closer.

You may have seen the news.

The Press of Atlantic City just helped us announce our partnership with Friends of Giuseppe. 🐾

But apparently, someone else has been waiting for her moment in the spotlight.

Her name is Flossie.

She's a rescue cat.
She's an Atlantic City girl.
She's got a little history.
And she's about to become a very important part of the RipVanWhisker story.

We're not telling you everything yet.

But here's a hint:

She's got nine lives, a big personality, and a soft spot for cats who are still looking for their forever homes.
