First day of school. šŸ„¹šŸ“šāœļø

And somehow this year I have a kindergartener, a 1st grader, AND a big 6th grade middle schooler. šŸ˜ā¤ļø

I’m really not sure when they all got this big.

Brynlee walked into kindergarten, Dawson started 1st grade, and Conner officially entered the world of middle school in 6th grade. Three kids. Three completely different stages of life. And one mama wondering how in the world we got here so fast. 🄹

There’s something so bittersweet about the first day of school. I’m SO excited to watch them learn, grow, make new friends and become more of who God created them to be… but goodness, I’d be lying if I said part of me didn’t want to freeze time just a little bit.

Especially looking at that picture of all three of them together. ā¤ļø

I’m praying over their teachers, their friendships, their classrooms and every little moment they’ll experience this year. Praying they are kind. Praying they are brave. Praying they stand firm in who they are. And most importantly, praying they know just how deeply loved they are — at school, at home, and by Jesus.

Here’s to kindergarten, 1st grade and 6th grade! šŸ“šāœļøšŸŽ

I have a feeling this is going to be a BIG year for the Striplin crew! ā¤ļø

ā˜•ļø Coffee & Confessions… Sunday night edition. šŸ¤

I’ve been a little MIA from All Heart No Gluten this week.

I had Canva designs started, gluten-free posts planned, recipes I wanted to make, school snack ideas I wanted to share… and then life just started LIFE-ING. šŸ˜‚

We’ve been soaking up the last little bit of summer, getting THREE kids ready for a new school year, running all the errands, trying to get everyone back into some kind of routine… and somewhere in the middle of all of it, I’ve been a little under the weather, completely overstimulated, and honestly just in a funk.

So the baking slowed down.
The Canva designs sat unfinished.
And All Heart No Gluten got a little quiet.

But looking through my camera roll tonight reminded me that just because I haven’t been posting doesn’t mean nothing has been happening. šŸ¤

There have been family days, gluten-free meals out, garden picking, back-to-school preparations, and all the ordinary little moments in between.

Including Brynlee being SO proud of the ā€œmomā€ picture she made that she absolutely could NOT wait for me to finish using the bathroom before showing me. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Because motherhood apparently has no office hours… or bathroom breaks. šŸ¤£šŸ¤

Sometimes I put so much pressure on myself to keep up with the kids, the house, baking, creating new gluten-free recipes, running this page, finishing Canva designs, answering messages and somehow keeping everything else going at the same time.

This week… I just couldn’t do all of it.

And that’s okay.

I’m still here. šŸ¤Ž

I still have SO much gluten-free goodness coming—especially the gluten-free school snack and lunch ideas I’ve been working on for our GF kiddos, new recipes, baking, and some educational content I can’t wait to finish.

But tonight, instead of waiting until I had the ā€œperfectā€ post ready, I figured I’d just share a little life lately behind All Heart No Gluten.

Because sometimes the HEART part has to come before the gluten-free part. šŸ¤

Here’s to a fresh week, a new school year, and hopefully getting my baking groove back. 🄰

ā˜• Coffee & Confessions šŸ¤

Tonight’s confession…

Sometimes I really want gluten.

I have celiac disease, and every once in a while I convince myself, ā€œIt’s just one time. It’ll be fine. I’ll deal with it tomorrow.ā€

For a few minutes, it almost feels worth it.

Until it isn’t.

A few hours later, the anxiety hits. Not just feeling stressed—but the kind of anxiety that makes me feel like I’m on the edge of a panic attack. My husband has sat with me and talked me through more of those moments than I can count.

Then come the mouth ulcers. The stomach pain. Sometimes I won’t have a bowel movement for nearly a week.

And that’s not even all of it.

Depending on how much gluten I ate, the symptoms can be different every time. Brain fog. Exhaustion. Headaches. Joint pain. The list goes on.

That’s the hard part about celiac disease. Sometimes the consequences don’t show up immediately, and in that moment it’s easy to convince yourself, ā€œMaybe this time will be different.ā€

But for me…

It never is.

People often think celiac disease is ā€œjustā€ a stomach issue.

It isn’t.

It’s an autoimmune disease. Just because I don’t end up in the hospital doesn’t mean gluten isn’t damaging my body.

What makes it even harder is that I’m not the only one in our family living with it.

Dawson has celiac disease too, and my mama heart breaks when he wants to eat what all the other kids are eating. He wants to grab fast food after a ball game. He wants to enjoy birthday cake without asking if it’s safe. He wants to feel… normal.

And honestly…

So do I sometimes.

Living with celiac disease means saying ā€œnoā€ to things most people never have to think twice about. Some days that’s easy.

Some days it’s really, really hard.

But every time I make that choice, I’m reminded why I started baking in the first place.

I wanted my family to have gluten-free food that didn’t feel like a compromise.

I wanted Dawson to know he could still have donuts, cinnamon rolls, birthday cake, and all the fun things kids should get to enjoy.

And honestly…

I wanted that for myself too.

That’s the heart behind All Heart No Gluten.

Not perfection.

Not pretending this journey is easy.

Just a mom with celiac disease, raising a little boy with celiac disease, trying to make this life a little sweeter and a little more normal—one recipe at a time.

So if you’re struggling tonight—whether it’s celiac disease, another food allergy, or just carrying something heavy that most people can’t see…

I see you.

Tomorrow we’ll get up, choose healing again, and keep moving forward.

One meal. One day. One choice at a time. ā¤ļø

Tonight my mama heart is extra full. ā¤ļø

After four weeks with his dad this summer, Conner is finally back home, and having all three of my babies under one roof again just feels right.

Co-parenting is a blessing, but if you’ve lived it, you know it also comes with a lot of emotions. I’m thankful Conner gets to spend quality time with his dad, and I’m thankful for every memory they make together. But that doesn’t make the long stretches apart any easier on this mama’s heart.

One thing my trip to Peru reminded me is not to take the ordinary moments for granted.

The laughter coming from another room.
The kids picking on each other.
The messy kitchen.
The requests for snacks every five minutes.
The bedtime hugs.

These are the moments I’ll miss one day.

So tonight, I’m simply grateful. Grateful to hear all three of my kids filling this house with life again, and grateful for another season of making memories together.

If you’re walking the road of co-parenting too, I hope you know you’re not alone. There can be joy, gratitude, and hard feelings all at once—and it’s okay to hold all of those with grace.

šŸ‰ Garden harvest days never get old.

There is just something so rewarding about cutting into a watermelon that started as a tiny seed. Months of watering, weeding, and waiting all lead to moments like this… and this one did not disappoint. ā¤ļø

This watermelon was sweet, juicy, and a reminder that some of the very best things take time.

One thing my trip to Peru reminded me is to appreciate what God provides and to waste less. So while we enjoyed every bite of this watermelon, I saved every rind too. šŸ‘€ I’ll be sharing what we made with it next!

If you’ve never grown your own watermelon before, I hope this encourages you to try. There is nothing quite like walking into your backyard and harvesting food for your family.

What’s growing in your garden right now? šŸŒ±šŸ‰

Good morning, friends. ā˜€ļø

Starting my day with my favorite mug ā˜•, a homemade gluten-free cinnamon streusel muffin, and God’s Word.

Before the baking, the to-do lists, and everything else this day holds, I always want to be reminded where my strength comes from.

There is something special about slowing down, opening Scripture, and letting the Lord set the tone for the day. It doesn’t have to be perfect or long—just faithful.

Praying your morning is filled with peace, purpose, and the reminder that God is already ahead of whatever you’re facing today. ā¤ļø

ā€œYour word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.ā€ — Psalm 119:105

My heart is so full tonight. šŸ‡µšŸ‡Ŗā¤ļø

Tonight our Peru mission team had the opportunity to share what God did during our recent mission trip to Quito Arma, Peru. It was such a blessing to tell the stories, hear how the Lord worked through our team, and encourage others to be willing to say ā€œyesā€ when God calls.

To give everyone a small taste of Peru, I made:
šŸ‡µšŸ‡Ŗ Gluten-free picarones
šŸÆ Homemade chancaca syrup
šŸ’œ Chicha Morada (Peru’s traditional purple corn drink)
šŸ Chicha de PiƱa (the warm pineapple and cinnamon drink we enjoyed)

As the cinnamon simmered and the pineapple filled the kitchen with its sweet aroma, I couldn’t help but think back to the people we met, the homes we visited, and the worship services where believers gathered together to praise God. They may not have dedicated church buildings, but they have a faith that is genuine, joyful, and inspiring.

One of the biggest lessons I brought home is that the Gospel doesn’t depend on a building. It is carried by faithful people who are willing to share Christ wherever they are.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for our team, gave to help us go, and welcomed us home. Your prayers made an eternal impact, and I pray tonight’s testimony encouraged others to be open to wherever God may be leading them next.

ā€œDeclare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples.ā€ — Psalm 96:3

Peru has forever changed a part of my heart, and I’m so grateful God allowed me to be part of His work there. ā¤ļøšŸ‡µšŸ‡Ŗ

šŸ„” One Roast. Two Homemade Gluten-Free Dinners! šŸž

One of my favorite ways to save time in the kitchen is turning leftovers into a completely new meal.

Earlier this week, this roast became homemade gluten-free gyros with homemade pita. (The pita turned out a little thicker than I wanted šŸ˜…, but it was still delicious! I’m making a few tweaks before I share the recipe.)

Tonight, the leftovers became a cozy gluten-free comfort food dinner:
šŸ¤Ž Slow-cooked roast with rich brown gravy
šŸ„” Creamy mashed potatoes
šŸ„• Tender carrots
šŸž Homemade gluten-free dinner rolls

Living with celiac disease has shown me that gluten-free recipes don’t have to be complicated or boring. You can still enjoy homemade comfort food the whole family will love.

✨ Homemade gluten-free pita is coming soon! I’m excited to perfect the recipe and share it with you.

What’s your favorite way to turn leftovers into a brand-new meal?
