Delta is hiring new companies to handle its in-flight catering.
Delta is overhauling its in-flight catering, and a metro Atlanta company will play a major role in feeding the airline's international customers.
Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE: DAL) hired Mainline Aviation LLC . to manage its international flight kitchen at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The company will take over catering for Delta's international flights departing from Atlanta in early February.
"Months ago, we began a journey to transform our catering operations, and even in these challenging times, we remain committed to that journey," Morgan Durrant of Delta Airlines said. "Our ultimate goal is to enhance our onboard experience for customers and support our flight attendants in delivering world-class food and service."
Mainline Aviation is a subsidiary of Goldbergs Group, the Marietta-based company that owns local deli chain Goldbergs Fine Foods and Atlanta Braves All-Star Grill.
"Just wanted to say how PROUD I am of the Goldbergs/Mainline Team for winning the RFP for the Delta International Flight Kitchen. This is just the start of our entry into the Airline Catering Industry” said Wayne Saxe President and CEO of The Goldbergs Group of Companies.
