Night Sky Coffee

Night Sky Coffee Roasters is a small coffee company proudly located in Winder, GA. Owned and operated by Charlie and Amelia Finch, Night Sky Coffee began as a journey for the perfect cup of coffee. They started out roasting coffee on a popcorn popper trying to mimic roasts they enjoyed from the local bakery. They soon discovered that each batch of beans they roasted, depending on

the origin/region and processing, had different flavor characteristics. After upgrading to 1 pound batches using a drum roaster, they found that they could more easily manipulate the roast profile to better enhance the flavor characteristics of each bean. Noting that some beans needed a lighter roast to help bring forward the citrus-fruity like flavors, while other beans benefited from a medium-dark roast to help enhance the sweet/chocolate notes. The goal of Night Sky Coffee is to help cultivate a community by offering a welcoming local space for people to gather, to learn about coffee and hopefully each other. We believe that we have a responsibility to the community we serve, to listen, be part of and give back. Night Sky Coffee is dedicated to sourcing coffee from responsible importers with the goal of fostering social responsibility in their business practices. By doing this they can maximize the contribution to the community while treating everyone in the supply chain from customers, suppliers, importers and farmers as extended family. A huge thank you to Sheriff Jud Smith for joining us, reading ‘A Deputy’s Promise’ by Andrew Russo, and bringing special goodie bags for all the kids— including a copy of the book to take home.

Thank you to everyone who came out! We loved seeing so many families at Night Sky! Events like these remind us how important community is and how thankful we are to be apart of it 🤍

Sip and Stitch 🧶: Bring your fiber arts, or another craft, and chat with fellow creatives! Great for meeting new people, finding new inspiration, or simply dedicating some time to your hobby

Video Game Trivia 🎮: Trivia Night based on all your favorite video games, and some niche ones too! How many hints do you see on the poster?

Pages and Puzzles Book Exchange🧩📗: Drop in to bring a book, take a book or stay the whole time. We'll have a community puzzle and you can craft a bookmark for your new read!

Paint & Sip 🐘: Enjoy a guided painting lesson, sip on some coffee, and bring home bragging rights (aka your new beautiful painting)!

"Picture This" Trivia ❓: Think you know everything? Can you identify niche toys and inventions, remember faces, and pick out any place on a map? We'll put up an image and you'll guess what it is.

Full Moon Tea and Tarot🌙☕✨: Embrace the Strawberry full moon coming on the 29th. Enjoy a tea tasting, get your tarot cards read, and do a fun themed craft! We'll have someone reading tarot, but feel free to bring your own cards too!

Farmer's Market👩‍🌾: Find us at the Barrow County Farmer's Market every Saturday from 8:30am-noon!
