This was such a full-circle moment for me. 🖤

Years ago, I worked at the Robert W. Woodruff Library as an HR Specialist. Recently, I received a call from that same workplace asking me to create a retirement cake for one of their leaders, Officer Best.

Out of all the bakeries they could have chosen, they called Sammie’s Sweetz.

Today, I received feedback that made my heart smile. They shared that the cake was moist, not overly sweet, and just right. Most importantly, Officer Best enjoyed it, and that’s what mattered most.

Moments like this remind me that you never know where your journey will lead. The same place where I once worked is now supporting the business I’ve worked so hard to build.

I’m grateful for every lesson, every relationship, and every opportunity that helped shape the woman and business owner I am today.

Congratulations again, Officer Best! Thank you for your years of leadership and service. It was truly an honor to be a small part of such a special milestone. ✨🎂

Sometimes even your favorite baker has a moment.

My client ordered a birthday cake for her daughter, and somehow my brain skipped a whole decade. I proudly sent over the “finished” cake, only for her to respond with a laugh and remind me that her baby wasn’t turning 21…

She’s turning 11. 😭

No need for us to age these babies that fast. Have y’all seen the world lately? We need to keep them little for as long as possible! 😂

Needless to say, the 21 came off, the 11 went on, and we all got a good laugh out of it.

Moral of the story: Even cake decorators make mistakes sometimes… just hopefully not by adding 10 extra years to your child. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣🎂💕
