Nick’s first Grecian Gyro restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia became the city’s home for high-quality, quick-serve, fresh Greek food. Before he knew it, Nick’s restaurant was an Atlanta favorite. Over the past 39 years, Grecian Gyro has gained the reputation of “Atlanta’s Best Gyro,” winning the coveted honor from Atlanta Magazine and its readers. What keeps customers coming back? In 2007 and 2008, Nick’s sons, George and Pano, expanded the company and opened locations in Tucker and Forest Park. In 2010, the brothers responded to years of customer requests for more locations throughout metro-Atlanta, and launched the Grecian Gyro Franchise Company.

On Hapeville’s 44th birthday, we celebrated with brand new digital menus!

If you’ve been with us since the beginning or know our story, you know Hapeville was our original location opened by Nick. Back then, we had cork board menus where each individual letter needed to be pinned into the board. Tiny hands would carry those tiny letters for Nick. A tiny responsibility given to Nick’s sons that was the big reason Grecian Gyro existed. It told you about our food you’ve come to love!

44 years later, we’re no longer pinning those letters. Grecian Gyro Hapeville is now an intersection of our history. A touch of the modern world nestled into the corner of the tiny, historic place that started it all.

It’s a small and simple transition that made us pause and take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come. 💙
