There’s a lot happening on our walls right now. This month, we’re featuring work from artists across our coffeehouses, each with a very different point of view, and we’ve also got a couple of opportunities for artists looking to get their own work out into the world. Here’s what’s hanging, who’s behind it, and what’s coming next.

Artistic Opportunities

Calling all hospitality artists: HEARD is back, inviting service industry workers across the Southeast to submit visual art for its second group exhibition, benefiting The Giving Kitchen. San Francisco Coffee Roasting Co. is showing local educators some love this August! ✏️☕

All month, they're collecting school supplies for the classroom, including pencils, notebooks, backpacks, and more. Drop off a donation anytime.

Plus, teachers get 10% off all year-round, because the people shaping our future deserve a strong cup of coffee!

Back-to-school season in Atlanta: when the alarms get earlier, the traffic gets louder, and your coffee starts doing administrative work.

Whether you’re packing lunches, grading papers, finding a classroom, or just trying to make it through a school zone before 9 a.m., we’ve got the caffeine portion handled.

A little reminder for our educators: teachers receive 10% off year-round at all San Fran Coffee locations with a valid school ID or badge. We’re also collecting school supplies for our teacher and student supply drive, so feel free to drop off a donation while you’re here.

August is a little quieter, but this month’s main assignment is a good one: our Teacher & Student Supply Drive.

All month long, we’re collecting new classroom essentials at San Fran Coffee: pencils, notebooks, folders, paper, crayons, markers, glue sticks, dry-erase markers, tissues, disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, backpacks, classroom gift cards, and more.

Bring what you can, drop it off with your coffee, and help local teachers and students start the school year with a few fewer things to worry about.

Also happening this month: Teacher Appreciation Week and Community Coding Club at Virginia-Highland. Quiet calendar. Useful month.

August is moving at a slightly slower pace around here, and honestly, we’re letting it. While we enjoy the last stretch of summer and quietly prepare for fall drinks, we still have a few good reasons to stop by San Francisco Coffee this month. We’re celebrating local educators, collecting supplies for teachers and students, and welcoming Community Coding Club back to Virginia-Highland.
