Meet Clarissa Morelli, AKA the Mother of Morelli’s. Our Ice Cream is named for her because she is our powerhouse behind the scenes even since BEFORE we started scooping. The name Morelli’s now means “Ice Cream” to people all over the place, and a huge part of that is thanks to her! To our family though, that name will always mean Clarissa first. ❤️ She means the world to us and will always be at the heart of all things Morelli’s. Thank you Clarissa! This one is just for you!

Ice cream cones may date back to Ancient Rome and Greece, where rolled wafers were already being made. By the early 1800s, French cookbooks were describing edible waffle cones. And then, here in Atlanta in 2008, the Morelli’s Ice Cream family started making our own cones.

Yes, we have only mentioned the origins of waffle cones in this story so far, but rest assured that our ice cream vessels come in several forms and styles. Whether you are a sprinkle covered chocolate dipped waffle cone lover or you like a plain sugar cone, you can rest assured that you are one scoop away from whatever you are craving at Morelli’s!

Our flavors change daily, and each Morelli’s location offers its own selection. That means there is always something new to discover, whether you are visiting one of our local ATL neighborhood shop or ordering online. And sometimes we run out of a daily flavor if it is too delicious! Call it a “good problem!” We are so thankful to have all of you appreciate us so much that sometimes we sell out. ❤️

ATL’s Ice Cream Family 🍦❤️ Morelli’s started in 2008 as a little family run walk-up shop in East Atlanta, founded by Donald Sargent and Clarissa Morelli with a love for making sweet treats and bringing people together. And when we say family, we mean it. Morelli’s is an actual family-owned Atlanta business, built here, grown here and still run with that same spirit of love and community today.

And a decade after serving our first scoop, we now have online ordering for delivery! We put a lot of heart and soul into this one because we want you to have only the sweetest of experiences whenever or however you order Morelli’s. So please tell us what you think!

At Morelli’s, there is no wrong way to cone! Go classic with a cake cone, add a little crunch with a sugar cone, level up with one of our fresh-baked waffle cones or go all in with a chocolate-dipped waffle cone loaded with sprinkles. 

Then make it yours! Go with one scoop or stack it high. Stick to one flavor of ice cream or mix a few. Then add anything from rainbow sprinkles, Oreos, Reese’s and M&M’s to brownie crumbles, blondie bits, gummy worms, nuts, fruit, hot fudge, caramel, whipped cream or a cherry on top! (No judgments if this sentence turns into “and” instead of “or” for you…)
