It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of The Best Sandwich Shop, our much beloved lunch spot in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood. Our last day of operation was Sunday, May 26.

Since opening our doors in winter of last year, we’ve had the honor of serving the neighborhood with the best sandwiches around. We are immensely grateful for the support and patronage from our customers.

“This decision was incredibly difficult,” said Shaun Doty, Co-Owner and head chef. “We have poured our hearts into this restaurant, and it has been very rewarding to be the go-to spot for so many in the neighborhood.” We’ll be handing off the location to a prominent local operator to fill the building with something that better suits the space.
