One of our longtime Marti's at Midday team members and baker, Rita, recently suffered a serious accident resulting in a broken tibia/fibula and emergency surgery. She is facing a long recovery and significant time away from work.

Rita has been a huge part of our team for years and has played an integral role in helping carry on Marti’s legacy. If you’ve ever had one of our giant cookies or delicious brownies… Rita is the one who made them 💜

We started a GoFundMe to help support Rita with medical expenses and living costs during recovery. If you’re able to donate or share, it would mean so much 🙏

On Thursday, April 30, restaurants all across Athens are coming together for Dining for Dividends in support of the Gifted Savings Program with 👏

So many incredible Athens businesses are stepping up to give back and invest in the future of our students. We’re proud to stand alongside this group and be a part of something bigger.

Every dollar raised helps continue a program that gives graduating seniors a financial head start and it’s all being matched by a private donor. That’s real impact.

👉 Grab a friend (or ten), dine out, and support these amazing spots on April 30.

Because of this incredible community… we were able to raise $1,000 for Nuçi’s Space on the anniversary of Marti’s passing this year. 💜

Carrying on Marti’s legacy and giving back to this community will always be at the heart of what we do. From the bottom of our hearts… thank you!

This week is always a tough one for our family and the Marti’s team.

This Thursday, April 2nd, marks six years since we lost Marti. An inspiration, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a warrior… the brightest light.

Every day we’re committed to carrying on Marti’s legacy.

We’re sharing a video of Marti today… It’s really special to us and something we often watch during the hardest of days….. Her voice, her beautiful smile, and her spirit meant so much to so many so we wanted to share this old commercial with you all 💜

Just like in years past, we’ll be donating a percentage of all sales this Thursday April 2nd to in Marti’s honor, an organization close to our hearts and who’s mission is to prevent su***de.

We also wanted to share something that feels especially meaningful this year… March 2026 was the busiest month Marti’s has ever had in 24 years. It’s wild to see that happen right before this anniversary. It’s a reminder that her legacy is still growing because of this incredible community and we’re grateful for each and every one of you.
