The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program launches today, July 1, 2026, giving eligible Part D beneficiaries access to Wegovy or Zepbound for a flat $50 monthly copay through December 2027. Eligibility requires a BMI of 35+, or 30+ with certain conditions like heart failure or hypertension, or 27+ with other risk factors, and enrollment in a participating Part D or Medicare Advantage plan.

This should drive a real increase in GLP-1 fills starting now, but actual pharmacy margin on these claims still depends on PBM reimbursement terms, not just volume.
