The Café On Lumpkin will be closing permanently. Our last day of business is Sunday, November 3, 2024.
Our building was purchased over the summer of 2024. The new landlords have recently notified us that our lease will not be renewed, as they intend to do major renovation work on our building and have not disclosed their intent for the building’s future use.
It is with great nostalgia of the past and sorrow for the future that will not be, that we provide this notice. We have strived to be the neighborhood café of Five Points, filling the void that is breakfast and brunch in our part of town. We have worked tirelessly to make it through the difficulties of COVID shutdowns and increased hurdles of 2020 and 2021, and the economic turmoil in 2022 through today. Though we are being forced to shut down, we count it a blessing to have been successful from the beginning through the end.
We are forever grateful for everyone who came to be a part of our café, our guests, our staff, our friends, and our family.
As is in life, one chapter ends as the next begins.
