Xerxes is the reincarnation of the small eatery named Happy Falafel that opened in 2004 on Ashland Street. The new owner Ben had a vision for a larger restaurant using the original recipes from Happy Falafel. After years of planning and construction, Ben re-opened Happy Falafel in 2017 in a new location as Xerxes Mediterranean Grill. The grill serves the same great food as the original eatery (the Greek fries are legendary!) along with many new dishes like tandoori chicken and a wide assortment of drinks that keep old and new customers coming back for more.
