As of today, Nick’s is officially in the hands of a new owner. I believe they will re-open sometime in August with a new name. Make sure you get out and support them and all local businesses, if you can, to ensure they don’t go extinct in the tough financial times. With that we’ll be sunsetting these social feeds and on to new things! Thanks all!

Well, we have a potential buyer who will back out today if I can’t close the deal, so we may be back open next week just to survive. If that happens we will be running at minimal hours with just myself working, so it will be tough both mentally and physically. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks for all the likes everybody! The honest truth of the matter is we have been running at an average of a monthly loss of $7-10k for the last few months. The way things are going as the summer slump hits, I would have to run the shop alone, and just can’t do it. Even then we are likely to still lose about the same amount per month, and this climate is just not allowing me to push forward without incurring more debt. If I can sell ASAP, I will make it out damaged, but ok. If not, it’s going to be a hard fought (expensive) road. If anyone knows an interested pizza guy with a vision, send him my way!

It is with a heavy heart that Nick’s will be, for the time being, closed after tonight. A continued economic slump that has led to severely decreased sales, coupled with other personal strife, has led me to this decision. Whether it re-opens under new ownership is undecided, but for me this is the end of a long, hard fought battle. Thanks to those who helped us as best you could. -Eric
