Greetings from Laren, Gelderland in The Netherlands!

A pizza party for all of the staff and volunteers of the Burgerboerderij de Patrijs.

Quite possibly the most local pizzas in the world with all of the vegetables grown on site from the garden, the cheese made on site from the dairy cows on the farm, and the dough made by a local bakery 1 mile away using spelt grain grown on the farm.

Pizza makers imported from the United States.

Feels a bit surreal to be posting this. It has been a pleasure to have the opportunity to serve everyone.

Thanks again to everyone that supported us over the years, and a special thank you to all that have helped behind the counter.

The month of June will be our final month operating as Manicomio Pizza. I am incredibly grateful to the community and our employees, past and present, for nearly 8 years of business.

As this chapter comes to a close within this space, a new chapter will begin under new ownership and under the name .avl . The concept will remain the same, and you are likely to see many familiar faces behind the counter.

It has been an incredibly rewarding experience building and operating this restaurant.

Justin and Christine have been members of the community for over a decade and have extensive experience in the restaurant industry. Their experience will undoubtedly build upon the restaurant’s foundation. They will be here over the next month during the transition process.

Thank you again for all of your support and I look forward to continuing to feed ya’ll over the next month!
