Big (and bittersweet) news. I’ve officially sold Sweet Cub.

Starting this business was truly a dream of mine, and I feel incredibly lucky that I got to bring it to life. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and Sweet Cub along the way. Closing this chapter brings a mix of deep joy and sadness, but above all, so much gratitude.

I’m excited to pass the torch to the new owners, Marjory and Colin! They are experienced local business owners and have the creativity to continue growing Sweet Cub. I can’t wait to see what they bring to the brand and will be proudly cheering them on every step of the way.

I hesitated to post this. A part of me felt embarrassed by the number. We raised $331.97 at our donation-based event this week.

But the more I sat with it, the more I realized how wrong that feeling was. What if someone didn’t donate because they thought their amount was too small? What if someone skipped volunteering because one hour didn’t feel like it would matter? What if people, or small businesses, never tried at all because they believed their contribution wouldn’t be “enough”?

The truth is, this world moves forward because of small, ordinary acts of generosity and courage. I want to live in a world where people show up anyway. A world where we do what we can, with what we have, even when it feels humble.

Because when we all try, even a little, it adds up to something real. And that’s exactly how change begins…quietly, steadily, and together.

Sometimes the most meaningful things happen when we choose to try, even without knowing how it will all turn out.

Come see us tomorrow, 12/9, from 2pm-6pm in the parking lot of Mattie Lou’s bakery in north asheville to help support Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy!

All money collected will go towards the organization and their efforts towards protecting land in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Throw on a coat and some grab some soft serve. Every season is ice cream season 🍦🌲

Can’t believe I’m saying this but come see us tomorrow (11/14) at Highland Brewing from 4pm - 9pm (or until sold out) for our public season closer 🤯 The rest of the year will be filled with private events and some much needed rest and relaxation.

In honor of our season winding down, I thought I would share a throwback picture to our launch party back in April. It’s funny to look back at these pictures and think about everything that’s changed and all that I’ve learned in this first season.

As the days get shorter and the mornings get chiller, we are winding down for the season.

We have one more public event on November 14th at Highland Brewing to close out our first season!

Winter is going to be filled with resting and recharging and of course, shopping small.
